Those streaming this site from a distance should check out this episode of Ghost Hunters.  If nothing else, it might yield some video of the library exterior and the Broad Street Bridge. I'll be watching and trying not to get spooked out.   ghost

Okay, so what did everyone think of the show?  I thought it was interesting, although with my somewhat bad reception (I only have basic cable so I'm not supposed to get the SyFy channel, but it's there) I couldn't see the shadow they supposedly caught on video.  In general, I liked what I saw, but I found myself wishing that they would show more exterior shots and explain a bit more about the history of the aqueduct, the subway tunnel, the building, and how the mill race currently functions as a sort of natural air conditioning system for the library.  They briefly mentioned and showed an evening shot of "the restaurant" across the street, suggesting that it may contribute to the shadows people are seeing in the library's main lobby, but not saying that it is the totally awesome Dinosaur Barbeque.  Also, there was one nice shot of OCSR, but no close ups of the TSB, which I think is a lot more photogenic.  To be fair, though, the focus was the library and its possible ghosts, and there they did a good job.  And as someone who walks past the library every night (in the dark now) to get to my bus stop to go home, I can say that I'm very glad the library ghosts are apparently friendly!  Embarrassed

Well, I didn't believe in ghosts before the show and I still am not convinced that they exist. I've been in that library 3 times and I find it to be very dark and dreary. I did enjoy the outdoor picnic tables on the north side of the building over the summer on my watches.  Grin
