We saw that happen at Islington and Bloor nestsite a few year back. Angel the resident female took aim at a Great Blue Heron that was flying lazily along Bloor St. I didnt know Herons could move so fast, it took the shape of a lawn dart and went heading for the ground, with Angel right on its backside, a few twists and turns and the Heron made good its escape.
The falcon in the video is a falconry bird. Some sort of Gyrfalcon.

Isn't Angel Dot.ca's mom?  I'll bet she's fast, and a good flyer.  That heron was very lucky.

Correct Angel is Dot Ca s Mom. He was the very first Peregrine I ever rescued. I do hope he returns, but am glad just to know he made it to adulthood and was able to find a mate.
