I just want to clarify that it was not a dead Peregrine found on Fitzhugh St. by the man who showed us the pic on his phone. Dan believes because of the reddish colored feathers on the bird that it was a Kestrel and I noticed the feet were not bright yellow like those of a Peregrine. The guy said it was hollowed out so obviously it had been dead for quite sometime.
As I mentioned in my tweet we were watching a Kestrel chase a small bird for quite a long time when out of nowhere Beauty appeared. I think she must have ticked off the Kestrel for making it lose it's breakfast after such a lengthy chase. The next thing we knew it was chasing Beauty back and forth across the river and over the bridge. We lost track of them when they went behind Xerox.
Within seconds Archer showed up, landed briefly under the SE wing of Times Square and went to the nestbox with Beauty. DebbieH stopped by on her way to work. We chatted for a few minutes and then Dan and I left. Have a great day everyone!

After keeping watch on a small section of KP from Weiland Rd for over an hour, the only falcon activity was 2 Kestrals hunting.
