Speaking of Beauty hacking up a pellet.
While Dana and I watched the Falcon on the Kodak Tower, I set up the scope to verify that it was indeed Beauty. It's just that we don't see her there very often.
There she was, in all her glory. Black/Green and Silver bands glistening in the sun. This gorgeous, creature filled up the whole view through the scope. She was preening, pulling out small tufts of soft downy fluff that stuck to her beak. She would lean over and gracefully wipe it off. I thought, how lucky were we to have Peregrines in Rochester. That's when IT happened!
Her beak opened wide and HACK!, HACK!, HACK!, HACK! On the 5th HACK! a large, gray shapeless lump fell from her beak. I watched as it fell over the ledge to the playpen below. Well, that was fun! Hahahahaha!
Beauty returned to her preening and stretching.

After Dana left B flew down to arch ledge above where the nestbox used to be. Saw her hack up a pellet.

I love to study their behavour. I could sit for hours just watching them.
The more you watch different birds, the more you notice similar behavours. Fascinating!

If I lived in Rochester, I'd get a job as a Street Cleaner. That way I'd be out all day, (not doing my job), just watching Falcons. Probably that job wouldn't last long.
