A great video of a first year female and her three eggs at a site in Minnesota. The female was banded in 2012 on a cliff along the Mississsippi River. Although it is not very common, first year birds can be successful at raising young if they are fortunate to gain possession of a territory (which in itself, is quite a feat!).
