The Eyas Naming Poll is Open

It’s time to vote for your favorite name for one of Beauty and Dot.ca’s Eyases!

The poll is open! From the many excellent suggestions that were received, Rfalconcam’s Naming Committee selected 20 names from over 200 submissions. Thank you to everyone who submitted a name!

A poll has been created for members of the Rfalconcam Forum to vote for their favorite name. One of the four eyases will be given the winning name.

    Some wonderful suggestions in there!
    I already named an eyas many years ago. so i will just kibitz.

    I am happy to see the names in languages other than English with such inspiring content.

    I speak some Norwegian, so I looked up Jalmari. That is actually the Finnish form of the Nordic Hjalmar. https://www.behindthename.com/name/jalmari The black markings on a falcon head do look like a helmet.

    Metis is familiar to me from another context: the Titan goddess of wisdom, prudence and deep thought.

    Deep thought is what the voters should be giving when they consider what name an eyas should bear out into the world:-)

    Will the results of this poll be held over to 2021 in the hopes that a normal banding, which helps us distinguish one eyas from another at a distance, will take place.
    Harrisburg also did not band this year, but Indiana did band the eyases on the Circle.
