Fly Free Freyja!

It is with much sadness, that we must report that Freyja was found deceased on a building roof very close to the Times Square Bldg.

The Rochester Falcon Watchers had been tirelessly looking for her since they last saw her on Wednesday, June 23rd. They never gave up hope that she would return to her family and continue to grace the Rochester skies.

Fly free Freyja! We will miss you.

Aww. I am so sorry to hear this. Fly free Freyja. I know this is part of life but so much sadder when they are so young. Thank you watchers for your diligence. I have been down there many years when they nested at Kodak. I haven’t been able to get down there like i used to.

Does anyone know what happened to her? I’m so terribly sad to hear this news but was beginning to suspect something was wrong.

CarolP may have last seen her flying with Beauty on June 26th as both DC and Golden were accounted for at the time. Nevertheless, she will grace the Rochester skies no more. Sad, but such is peregrine life.
