Five Eyases for Mariah and Kaver!
It looks like sometime around 3:17 this afternoon Mariah’s fifth egg hatched! Here’s a look at the newest hatchling, being watched over by Kaver– it’s the pink object just in front of his big yellow feet. The eyas’s feathers are still matted and moist, but they’ll dry and fluff up quickly.
We at the Rochester Falconcam can’t think of a better way to celebrate Mothers Day. Congratulations to Mariah and Kaver on their outstanding family of five!

Good job by good parents. I remember other years the hatching being spread out a bit and the last eyas being noticably smaller than the earlier hatches. At least we won’t have to worry and wonder if they are too young or too small to fly.

I’m glad to see the picture of Kaver taking good care of them. I guess it’s coincidence, but since the hatching every time I look it’s Mariah with them. I remember Kaver being such a good dad last year, and it looks like he is this year too. Thank you for this fabulous website!

Being a former Rochesterian and a Kodak employee, I have certainly enjoyed looking at your site every Spring as to what the famous birds are doing and anticipating their continuing their family. I have been in Ft. Myers, FL since 1988. I think the “family pictures” are the best ever this year!!! They are certainly a handsome family with 5 babies this year. Thanks for sharing.
