Oshawa banding yesterday - Alfrieda & Velcro (bands to still be reconfirmed for this year)

It was Cathy Kerr that got the bands, she deserves all the credit!  She might also have been there in 2023 but not 100% on that yet.  I just helped with history. 

Her mate is also not banded so no idea who he is but one of the kids this year has 'blue feet'.  the little boy does!

We know she was there last year too for sure, but they couldn't get the bottom part of the band, only the 43 so here are bands for the kids for those years - to add to the family tree.

So those beautiful 3 chicks have really great genes (as at least the last 3 hatch years) and I sure hope they get to pass them on!

Not to steal the thunder from your banding but Wilma's 3 were also banded at the same time this morning.  For your records - the three newest M&K descendants are:

Female - Blk/BLU 25/AN - named Pearl
Female - Blk/BLU 26/AN - named Velma

Male - Blk/BLU 90/AE   - named Barney

Bellatrix and Canuck's (Quest & Mystery's son) little girl was banded today:

"Her name is Solo, 790g and her bling is 43/A".  They also put blue tape on her USFW band.  She was the sole hatch this year hence the name.  They had a very persistent intruder(s) for several weeks but the last week has been peaceful so hopefully they have moved on.  It is thought that is the reason for the single hatch this year.

Egg #4 just hatched!!!

Three babies now for Alfrieda and Velcro.  #3 hatched yesterday but wasn't able to confirm until just now.

Two hatches today for Alfrieda and Velcro! 

2025 Update on Alfrieda (Diamante's daughter) and Velcro (Quest's son), they have 4 eggs this year.  The cam was only turned on April 4th and she had 3 eggs when it was, she laid #4 on April 5th as expected.  Talons crossed for successful hatching.

Two hatches so far,  as of yesterday!

 

Warren, Michigan:  3 hatches so far for Wilma in the last 24 hours. 

Aria does have 4 eggs now.  Just confirmed today as it's been very cold here so catching them off the eggs has been a challenge.  Friends of CPF will likely post the photo later
