It felt like spring here for sure today. Sun was shining,sky was blue with some white puffy clouds and the birds were singing. A few Red-winged Blackbirds have arrived and even came to our feeder, many more called at Dufferin Marsh which is a short walk from home. Canada Geese were pairing up and honking loudly. I could hear Northern Cardinals and Robins calling. The best sighting of the day though was a female Pileated Woodpecker. Its a bigun! She was hammering out a big hole probably just looking for food, but I will keep an eye on the spot incase she was excavating a nest. 
  We have the Toronto Sportsmens Show coming up and CPF will be there as usual with a full compliment of educational birds and volunteers to show the birds, answer questions and this year even a flight demonstration! March 14-18, we are all looking forward to it.
