I'm sad too. I cannot begin to tell you how much I've looked forward to your morning falcon watch reports all this season. You're out there at the crack of dawn in heat, rain, and cold just to watch Beauty, Archer, and Unity and let us all know how they are doing. I hope your knee replacement surgery goes well and that your recuperation is quick. The rehab will be difficult, but hopefully all the good wishes heading your way will help you get through it with flying colors. We'll miss you during your enforced vacation. flowers

Sad Mak you will be sorely missed for your morning watch. Now you will be able to sleep in I hope.
Good luck in the surgery and hope all goes well and your back after the snow stops and warmer weather arrives. Be good.  crying

heart  The falcons, this forum and all the GREAT friends I've made through it have become so important to me. Words can't express the joy I feel from seeing falcons, taking pics of falcons and writing reports about falcons. And I'm more than happy to share it with all of you. THANK YOU ALL for your kindness and well wishes, I appreciate you more than I can say! I know my watcher friends will take me on a watch from time to time so I can get a falcon fix! Don't know if I'll have wheels when I am back on my feet but if I do you can be sure I will be back out in the mornings doing what I LOVE!  heart Keep smiling!   Grin

MAK,

It is so strange to start my day without your watch report.  Between your vivid descriptions and exciting photographs, I've felt that I've always had one foot in Rochester.  I hope you have a quick rehab and an early release.  In the meantime, even though it will have to be done through a window for a while, keep your eyes to the skies!

MAK - I'm so sorry you have to go through the surgery but, if it improves your life, it's worth it!  I'm sure Beauty and Archer will be waiting for you when you're able to watch them again. You will be in my prayers for a very speedy recovery!  Sue (Bess)
