Is it unusual for the falcons to go back to the nest box after all the rearing and fledging is complete? I don't think I can remember a season when this was as common as it appears to be this year... maybe I was not paying attention!

In the Kodak days they would turn the cameras off after the babies fledged so we didn't get to see this part of the season. Unless a watcher was there to report it, of course. Returning to the nest box & renewing their pair bond is typical peregrine behavior. Beauty & Archer actually did this last year too-that's how everyone suspected Times Square was going to be the chosen scrape for this year.

Bobbie, they are bonding, MK definitely did this too. Just showing their
for each other. (my way of putting it). They bow to each other.
