Beauty gives the egg a little warmth on a cold, damp Rochester morning.
Temps only expected to go into the mid-40's (F) today.

You know, I thought my eyes were deceiving me - both today (Friday 9th) and yesterday?? Archer DID have food, huh? Any comments re this behaviour from the EGGS-perts???

It's good practice for when babies come.
I'm fairly certain M&K (particularly Kaver) did this too. I'd guess it's about no more leisurely lunches at the Old Changing Scenes Restaurant...if the urge/need to guard the egg(s) strikes, you do it regardless of what's in your talons.

Yep, now that egg laying is under way, the nest box will be the focus of Archer and Beauty's life for the next few months. We'll see more meals taken there, as well as a lot more activity at the box in general.
