Buffalo Update (per DEC):
Three Buffalo sites had 4 eggs each this year...UB (Mackay Tower), Central Terminal (Rochester's Diamante is the dad), and Statler (downtown).
Mackay Tower at UB (online) has 4 cute eyases.

(Pic attached from this afternoon)
Hatch at Statler. (Photo attached from Peregrine Place) Can't tell if it one or two eyases?
Don't know the status of hatches at Central Terminal.
There has also been a sighting of a banded female frequenting the South Grand Island Bridge.

I thought that Statler City had 5 eggs this year? Looks like in pic with 2 eyases.

Looks like it to me too. I was told last Sunday there were 4 everywhere and no one had 5. Maybe DEC wasn't updated.

Not UB but Statler news:
NYS Department of Environmental Conservation safely release one of the Statler City Peregrine Falcons back on our roof after she was found in front of the convention center sidewalk this week..

(Joyce) I just became aware that Ella from UB was injured. As noted, her wing web was pierced. Bone not broken. Unfortunately she will not fly again. She might have had a chance if the veterinarian had gotten her a couple of days sooner.
It was not mentioned where she was found and no other details are known. It does not sound like she would be euthanised. Also it is not know what USFWS and DEC will do with her. She might make good educational bird because she is so young.
How awful! Could have been fixed if caught sooner. Poor Ella.

Cross reference NOTE - Now that BILLIE (2013) from Central Terminal is in Rochester, Connie (DEC) advised to refer to her as BILLIE with an IE. Even though original person named after was Billy, this would be less confusing for female peregrine.
