Do Pefas only hunt for prey on the wing? That is, would they ever go to ground to get something like a chipmunk, rat etc.? Here, our Buzzards will forage on the ground for bugs and beetles, and I know raptors like owls and kestrels will hunt ground prey, but am wondering what happens with the Falcons. Ta!

Although I'm sure there are exceptions, Pefas hunt on the wing. The only time I've heard of them eating on the ground is if they drop their prey.

Or pluck a duckling out of the water!!  Sad   (We have seen videos of Pefas going after ducks in the water)

Or Big Frankie eating a Duck on the ground.
