A little while ago the male left and Cadence took over incubation. I got a good look at the eggs and saw no visible pips.

I didn't see anything earlier either Carol. It's 30 days since she laid the third egg but they were heavy incubating with egg 1 so we should have had one hatch by now at least. We can hope for the last 2 but it is possible dad was shooting blanks given he was stressed out and incubating already when Cady came along.
I have my arms and legs crossed for the last 2...!

It's day 35 since egg 1 was laid, day 33 since egg was laid and day 30 for egg 3. Just an FYI.
Egg 1 - April 22nd
Egg 2 - April 24th
Egg 3 - April 27th

Cadence kept standing up and preening, she'd look at the eggs a bit, preen some more and she left a few minutes ago. Dad came in and now he's on the porch vocalizing...something going on they don't like. He's looking up..and back in he goes.

I wish the cams there had sound so we could hear if there are any little cheeps coming from the eggs.

The way Cadence is acting, I think she hears cheeps coming from inside an egg. It is almost as if she does not know what is happening since this is her first time. When I was watching at 6:30ish, I could have sworn I saw a pip, but when I clipped a picture, it's hard to tell for sure.
Look at the middle dark egg.

Could be Joyce, I did wonder at that and dad did the same thing too but when she just left them alone after that I thought nah...I should be more optimistic I know
ps: Jersey City is on track for a hatch possibly today - can hear the chick from inside the egg loud and clear this morning!

Ok she's' shuffling the eggs now, that's new...it's warm there.
1.36 pm and Cadence just took off like a bat out of hell, I thought she bent her wing in half she turned so fast. Could be she heard dad and wanted out due to the heat as she was panting and he's in for his shift.

5.50 am shift change. Cadence was on eggs, kind of hovering and rotating on them for about 15 minutes - nothing obvious visible on eggs that I saw. Dad in on eggs now.

The pipped egg is Cadences I think...though in this light both are dark ...I'm looking at Beth's photo on bCAW and in this light both the front ones are dark but my gut says it's Cadences egg..we'll see.
