We are very close to the $1,222.48 that was donated last year! Can we beat it?

It's been one heck of a year. The hard drives on Main Camera's computer died at the beginning of the year. Replacements were bought, installed, and the system was rebuilt only to have them crash again. And again. Then there were the problems with the antenna for the Internet connection. And after that was all worked out just in time for egg laying, the Main camera that we bought and installed the previous November died just before the eggs hatched. It was replaced earlier this month along with Camera 4, and new computer equipment was purchased to set the stage for a completely redisigned higher quality system next fall.

None of this would be possible without the generosity of our dedicated falcon watchers, both here in Rochester and around the world. Thank you!

And don't forget there's still one more chance for a lucky donor to have an additional $500 donated to Rfalconcam, but you only have until 11 PM!

Oh, yeah. I was just reminded that we also had a serious problem with the air conditioner at the Times Square building.  It was rather expensive to repair.

It takes a lot more than many people realize to keep the cams running...
