I wonder if Dot.ca had gotten into a fight with somebody when he came in the nestbox with that wet head a couple of days ago. His head still doesn't look right.

These are from yesterday. There may be a little rusty discoloration on DCs head when you zoom in on the 2nd picture. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it.

Male pattern baldness.
He's no spring chicken.

He'll always be Beauty's boy toy, though.

He's a tough old bird.

I had actually noticed for a while that he seems to have a dip in his feathers across the top/back of his head in about that spot. It's been there for a while and fooled me into thinking it was Beauty a few times-it was laying like her flat top. Probably just more prominent with the wet head.

I had noticed it earlier than this, but I have these saved at work. You can see the line on these pics...

After B fed the eyases, DC brought in a scrap and fed them some more, while B watched.

Our eldest eyas is a week old, so here's the 1st feeding chart of the 2019 season!
P.S. The blue dot right on top of a red square is a tandem feeding. I have tried many times to add a different marker for that, but the spreadsheet is in a very old version of excel (we've been keeping these charts since the early 2000's) and it will not allow another marker and I have not been successful converting it to a newer version without losing the formatting.
