I wonder if Dot.ca has been involved in a fight recently. For the last couple of weeks his cere has appeared to be messed up. I noticed it then, and thought it was just a "feather fascinator," but he still has it. His eyes look okay, so I guess it just needs to heal.

Agreed. Dot has always been a messy molter. He does have some damaged feathers on the back of his head that we first noticed the year he had 2 nests. Those are even more prominent when he molts. He may have some on the front too.

I'm not so sure. The rest of him doesn't look messy, and his forehead has been like that for two weeks now. Anyway, he seems to be fine.
