Why is Orville retiring?

There has been some chatter that his injuries were too severe and he might be unreleasable.

He may have to spend the rest of his days as an education rock at Wild Wings.

I don't think there's been any final decisions yet.

Why is Orville retiring?

Orion picked him up and dropped him over the ledge, where he crashed and broke apart! Guess he wanted to see if Orville Bounced!! Carol rescued him/her and is caring for the pieces! Do we know that Orville is a male?   devil

I need old pics to hang on the wall at Orville's retirement reception.

Will we have refreshments?

Coffee, soft drinks, and cake.

No Stone Soup??

Or poutine?

The Sunday Market up on South Winton in ROC has a Poutine Stall. I never got a chance to sample it, tho. Thought it was neat to see.

I too have been trying to remember when Orville first arrived at the nest. I think these pics include Orville,

A quick scan through my current backup drive...I'll have more time this weekend to go back further...

The earliest photos clearly showing Orville so far is March 15, 2007...

...waiting patiently on the front left corner.

In this classic view he's shifted to in front of Kaver.

And Orville is in all these ShakyPix...not sure which years the originals are from...perhaps Shaky noted it...

2003

2004 (2003 base pic)

2005

2006 was a very good year for Orville sightings!

2007

2008

Except for the one you pointed out, the originals are from the year they were published. I don't have any originals prior to 2007.

I still have a backup folder on my current external drive and a whole other external drive to look through. I think the other drive has the stuff prior to 2007. It will likely have to wait until the weekend.

And the 2010 folder...and the other cams from 2008 & 2010...and there were more 2008 main cam pics-I just picked a few highlights...

There is something about these pictures that is so touching.  I love to see Mariah and Kaver.  I watched kodakcam or whatever it was in the early days.  Seems so ancient now.    The lattice work behind them is lovely.  I remember mention of Orville ...he's been around for a while too!
