Two Peregrine falcon chicks on top of the Times Square Building in downtown Rochester have some new jewelry.
Today, the state Department of Environmental Conservation placed ID bands on the month old chicks. The bands will help the DEC track them.
They were also given names – Callidora and Jemison.

A picture is worth a thousand words. I still can't get over how SMALL the box is and I know it isn't very big, but a small nest box + 2 men = a very small nest box. Amazing! Thanks to all again.

A&B thought those men were real big! I expected more out of those two, but being there first time I suspect next year they will be more fierce. I did enjoy all the flying and kakking especially how they would hover in midair without moving.

I met Joyce,Kathy,Carol, Brian,Dana,Lou,Jim and Marcia previously. For the first time I saw Jeanne,Lisa McK,Larry and a few others that I can't recall by name.(sorry)

I wonder if the difference is that both Beauty and Archer have themselves been banded and Mariah and Kaver were not (at that time) So A&B would know the men come give you a bracelet and don't really hurt you. Just a thought.
