Really too bad the transmitters are expensive and bureaucratic...would have been nice to fit Mariah while she was healing...
I am personally concerned that she was again attacked....
same territory, 2 against 1, and younger birds than she...

Personally, the last thing I would have wanted was a transmitter on Mariah.  As you said, she's an older bird and she was injured.

We're all concerned that there will be another territorial battle, but that will hopefully not happen until next Spring, if at all.

Hopefully "Friendly" Talon Tagging!!

When someone yelled falcons flying by Chase (tall white-column building near Midtown...Brian, Dan, Larry, Dawn, and I watched as three appeared and two were talon tagging.  It looked more like a "get out of my territory" move, and nothing aggressive.  I picked my camera off the bench and was only able to catch 2 specks in the sky.  They looked to be the same size, with one was chasing the other to the west.  ~ Joyce

I'd put my money on Archer...he's the one I've seen the most when there is only a single falcon.  I think he likes to stay close to home.
