I have tried twice to load a profile picture. I hit browse, found the picture and then hit the, I think, save button, at the end.  Nada.  What am I doing wrong? ???

I uploaded one for you to verify that there is nothing wrong with your account.

Did you remember to click on Save Profile?

Shaky,  I just tried again to change the picture and nothing.  It says change profile but not save profile.  I clicked on change but nothing happened.

same problem as jeanne is having. twice (in the profile editing thingie) I selected a picture to upload, saved changes, nothing appeared (maybe nothing was even uploaded - didn't take any time). I'm cool about it but the barn owl with me on that photo is getting POd.

Hmmm...I'm wondering...Shaky, is there a size limit on the avatar picture?  I just tried to change mine just to test it and nothing changed.  Only difference is my Ananta picture was trimmed down some time ago for another forum with a size limit and I tried to change to a larger picture.

That's it, Ei. Good thinking. Shrank it down more and it worked.

There is definitely a size limit. I don't remember what it is offhand, but I'd say 200x200 pixels is a reasonable limit. After all, the final avatar will only be 90x90 max.
