A surprise on today's walk

After many miles on the rail trail beside the beaver pond with only stumps to prove they're there...at last!  A beaver!

My first beaver was in Harriman State Park along 7 Lakes.  Our resident beaver (just up Tracys Creek) would swim to the boat, slap his tail, turn around, and head back up creek.  They are very cool and you are one lucky lady!

Great pics, Ei, and I loved seeing the Beaver ones!  We would frequently see them swimming across the lake where we had our summer home when I was growing up but haven't seen one in years.  Thanks for posting!
