It's that time of year again to resurrect my backyard photo topic...

The reason I can't breathe & my eyes look like 2 &^%holes in the snow after a day of yard work

Don't know whose nest that is

But worth it because I uncovered my bleeding heart looking none the worse for wear

Mr. Bluejay posturing for

Mrs. Bluejay

Even caught him displaying his crest for her!

Love your pics, Ei!  Bleeding hearts are one of my favorites-we just planted 2 today after not having any for years.

Coming home from the post office today I saw a turtle on my neighbor's front walk. Right next to his recycling bin. So I assumed it was a plastic turtle going for recycling.

When I got upstairs I saw it crawling across the street!

A snapping turtle I do believe!

I have no idea how it got to my neighbor's walk, but i'm sure it was heading for the pond at the end of the street.

Great pics of the turtle. I sure hope it made it to the pond.

Birds in the snow today...

I was skunked by the cardinals...they arrived right after I went inside...couldn't feel my fingers anymore!
