Loved all the pics and videos! Sweet Angel.
Didn't realize you were moving.
Yes Nora, had to sell the house-not by choice.
Bummer about having to sell the house. Sure wish I had kept my patents' house. I would rent it to you really reasonably. It was in a nice location in Brighton. I kick myself for not keeping it, but at the time it had too many memories. My room looked the same in 1999 as when I grew up.
Loved yesterday's pics and videos. Hope you had a nice dinner. happy Birthday to your sister.

Nora, unfortunately homes can't always be kept forever-this was supposed to be my last home before either kicking the bucket or going to a nursing home. Life happens right?! Anyway, thanks for your kind thoughts! Dinner was great and I will tell my sister you said Happy Birthday.

Day 29 in Paradise was a big raptor day on the ranch and Dove Rd. with the highlight being a Bald Eagle in pasture #13 on the ranch! I was watching vultures when lo and behold one of them drew my attention right to a tree the eagle was in. I waited a long time for it to fly off but left before he did so. Next I found Ebony and her mama-I thought mama was leading her youngun away from me but it turned out that the feed truck was coming. Bill filled the trough as a couple loose calves were in front of the tractor. I captured a tender moment as a calf was feeding from mom. Red-tail Hawks and American Kestrels were out and about on Dove Rd. as usual and I spotted a Red-shoulder Hawk on Hazelton Rd. I found a pig and some other interesting things to round out my watch!

Safe trip home, MAK. It's been fun, and wonderful seeing you turn into an accomplished wildlife photographer.

Thanks everyone! I have one last installment before I wrap it up here on my last ride in Paradise-day 30. It's been a GREAT month spent here with my loved ones and nature, leaving me with memories I'll always cherish. My daily trip started and ended with Ginger and Savannah. I stopped by some Heifers who were eating-one stuck her tongue out at me as did Ebony when I passed by her. Langston, one of the ranch hands stopped to tell me there was an eagle eating the afterbirth of a newborn, less than an hour old, straight ahead. I got there just in time to catch the Bald Eagle fly away and land in a tree to oversee the baby, mom and some cows who were checking out the newbie. Birds that showed up to bid me farewell included my regulars-a Kestrel,Mockingbird,Red-tail Hawks,Meadowlarks and Turkey Vultures. I found a sick bull and reported it to Mike-I hope he makes it (he wouldn't lift his head at all for me)! I'm going to really miss every bit of this place but am looking forward to seeing our beloved Rochester Peregrine Falcons again. That's all she wrote folks!
