Sorry-hit enter too soon-
I don't think Beauty's done laying because she isn't incubating the one egg yet. They don't start full time incubating until the next to last (penultimate) egg is laid.
There's also the tale of Tasha, Louie & Dori in Ohio (can't recall the city) last year. Tasha laid a full clutch then was displaced by Dori. A couple of eggs were destroyed in the fight, but 2 or 3 remained. Then Dori laid a clutch and incubated the whole bunch and they all hatched. There was a VERY long interval from 1st to last there.

I thought of Dori and Louie too..everyone said they wouldn't hatch but they did and pretty sure there was at least a 2 week interval between the time the eggs were laid and full time incubation started! I remember watching Louie lay on those 2 eggs every night and then pushing them over to Dori's eggs..insisting they be incubated by her. I don't think anyone who watched wasn't in tears when they all hatched.

I didn't follow them closely, but I had tears then too...OK, now too...

Oh that was sad, my heart pounded reading that. It happens, we just don't like it.

Archer likes to EGG sit too!
Friday morning my daughter and I are headed to Rochester. We will be staying until Monday morning. I will personally tell Beauty our concerns about her 2nd egg, (if it hasn't arrived by then). We will be bunking with MAK and Sue, (thanks girls). We are also going to search out Bobbie from Ireland. I will be on my 1st watch Saturday morning, with MAK. Looking forward to meeting who ever!
Hope I see lots of A & B.

Hello Rochester, a long-long time ago I grew up in Greece and was a Kodak Kid. In fact I still have several friends that still draw Kodak paychecks (note i did not say "work at"). In one of lifes ironic twists, in 2002 I found myself working in Hartford at Travelers Insurance, Which just happens to have a Tower not a whole unlke the Kodak Tower. A few floors above me a falcon called Amelia had just started nesting on the 22nd floor ledge. Since that first spring when the perigrines started swooping around the tower, even landing on our sills and generally terroizing the pigeon population, I have been hooked on the falcons. Being p[art geek, I quickly found your orginall site and have been monitoring both my current and previous homes falcon activity. Even more interesting is that our first falcon hailed form Greece NY, she was captive breed and somehow fledged there. For those not aware of our birsd, here is a link -
http://falconcam.travelers.com/news.html
- Now it is very weak compare to what you have, but it is run by Travleres communication group and technically managed by IT, so its shoe-string. But our new birds (no one has confirmed if its the same couple from the last few years, Amelia, like Mariah, disappeared a few years back) are top notch, She started laying eggs on 3/21 and has four in the cooker now, she rarely gets up (I know the IT guy so i have a "live" feed of the the 10 minute stills on the web site), the male just brings food, Also our DEP refuses to name them ("they are wild animals") and I am embarrassed by our box, could they spare a bit more lumber?! Anyway, sorry to ramble on but I did want to introduce myself and say that I am glad Beauty is back in the box, this long gap has me nervous! Get busy young lady! Russ

Hi Russ-welcome aboard!
Yes, we do follow Travelers here-if you hunt, you'll find the thread under other raptor cams. We were happy to see eggs and more reporting this year. Amelia was one of the hacked birds from the original peregrine recovery project, so holds a special place.
Back to pushing with Beauty!
