Pic #1 in MAK's album is the ORB (Orange Railing Bldg). The Pigeon Box is not part of the ORB, it is a large, hollow square structure at the east end of the large chute that starts at the blue bldg and stretches east to the Pigeon Box. The Pigeon Box is hollow and if you look up inside, you can see I-Beams stretching from one side to the other. We see Pigeons flying up inside this square structure all the time. I'm sure they considered this a safe haven from you know who. One day I saw Lady Pefa fly up there and when I checked it out with the scope, I could see her tail hanging down. She was sitting on one of the I-Beams.
She may be using this, #1 - to get out of the weather (kind of like M&K and A&B use the elevator shaft on the OCSR) and/or #2 - to grab unsuspecting Pigeons as they fly up into their Box, unaware that there is a Pefa in their midst!
I will be holding a class soon on how to keep track of these highly technical names for the buildings/structures at Kodak Park.

Guess Beauty has a little more faith in him this year! Seemed like she was running him off last year, or was that after the hatching started?

It does seem that Archer is spending longer on the eggs at a stretch this year. She didn't let him near them much after they hatched either.

Yay for that Archer! I have had so little time recently and am always happy to log in and find out that incubating is proceeding apace. Hope to have time to scan down and see what else is going on!
Slainte!

Geesh - I thought I had it down...and I screwed up too. No wonder Margaret is confused. I corrected the other post in case anyone else reads it.
Attached is a photo ID...did I get it right?

Beauty looks a little cranky in that pic. Probably cuz Archer was so late arriving this morning after a bad weather night with the eggs.

(movie)
Yesterday someone had suggested we were actually watching an Archer statue. Other than it being a bobblehead statue, I believe they were right!
