That is exactly where I left Beauty at 1 pm. Archer was below her to the right, but further into the framework facing north. Thanks for swinging the camera over there Shaky.

The only excitement at the nest so far!
Those darn Starlings!
I know many consider them a nuisance bird, but I've always liked them. They are such good parents. Those kids follow their parents around, and the parents work so hard to raise the babies!
And, if legend is true....a fan of Shakespeare released starlings in Central Park, and that is how they came to be here. I never knew if this is fact or fiction, but as a fan of Shakespeare, I choose to believe it, and love the little starlings. Sheakespeare actually mentioned quite a few birds and flowers in his works, and many have followed up on those mentions.

I don't think Starling babies ever leave. I have the same 5, mom, dad and 3 kids in my yard since they fledged. Like 2 months ago! They go no where without each other. They zoom right by me, back and forth then land on the grass and pick. Cute actually.

Oh yeah...you can set your clock to the hatch date up here...end of May Those babies...3, 4, 5 and up will follow the parents around forever. And those parents are such good parents. They are noisy, though!
Love that sound of the starling babies every year. Makes me know that spring is here. I also love how they change color (feet) and the dots. I know that so many people consider them pests and non-native invaders, but I look at them as survivalists! They do what they have to do.
