 Beauty was at the nest box before she went over to the Jail Tower I wonder if Archer took of early for Migration since no babies this season, he really had no reason to stick around!! |

I knew it!! Soon as I said he may have left, he shows up. I think Archer will stick around until his October migration date. Birds are soooo cyclical! They come and go on exactly the same date every year. In my back yard, for years, I had the same date marked when certain birds would show up and how long they would stay. For years! These were the odd ball birds who didn't stay around but were just passing through. It is like watching the geese as they pass over every spring and fall. I love to hear their sounds and watch their wonderful patterns whether they are flying south or coming back north. Archer will depart in October..that's my bet! |
