I love when they do this!
Is this pic from today?! I did not think they did this outside "the season" - what do I know, however!
Click on the thumbnail. Then read the date on the left side of the full-size picture.

It would be nice if the Beautyful one would perch on the camera side when she is by the main cam so we could see her better.

But she never does, does she? You wouldn't think they were such creatures of habit, but look at her 5th column south side of Xerox...same spot every single time she's up there.
And back in the "olden" days...if there was a bird on the Kodak lilies it was Kaver...no one else ever goes there.

I actually saw Mariah go up to the lilies now and then, but Kaver was there the majority of the time. Now and then a fledgling made it up there too, following dad.

She used to do that up until early 2010. Before we moved Camera 1 back a bit, we had to chose between showing the near side of the plank under Main Camera or the front of the nest box. For a while, we chose the plank, but then we switched to favor the nest box after the eggs hatched.

I remember fledglings following Kaver up there...one of the pictures I have in my office is Kaver perched on a lily with a fledgling flying up toward him. I have no idea who took the picture or when...
