Here are some pics from my watches today. The 1st 5 pics are downtown including under the elevator shaft.
Pictures 6 and on are not for those with a weak stomach. They are of the unbanded adult peregrine falcon I spotted on the ice eating a gull down in the Charlotte area.
Hope...

Stuuning pictures, Dana.  That new Pefa is gorgeous.  Is she larger than Beauty, or is it just that you were closer?  The shots of the ducks were gorgeous; especially the serenity the two Mergansers bring into the picture in sharp contrast to the  brutal prey scene.  That it's an award winning shot.  Did you shoot them from inside your car?

Glad folks like the pics.  It was one of those rare wow moments for me !

Margaret, I was close to the Pefa and comfortable to say it was probably a female, but I have no confidence in size comparison with Beauty.  Tough to tell without seeing the two together.  I was definitely shooting from inside my car, with my window half open.  Both the falcon and the Mergansers would quickly leave the area if I opened my car door and got out.  Luckily they were okay with the camera clicks.  flash
