Everybody be safe and keep warm.  It's going to get really nasty tonite here in Rochester, NY.  Over a foot of snow by tomorrow evening.  Yuck!  Can't wait for Spring!

Major storm going on, as of about noon today. Blizzard warnings and all!  Kinda cool, but I still wonder what the birds, etc. do in this kind of horrific weather!

We got a little sleet this am and that's it. I'd rather have 2 feet of snow then all this freezing rain we are suppose to get tonight.

So funny that you want to hear from everyone out "here".  As I was driving home tonight, anticipating a wonderful snow day tomorrow, I thought of the  "Falcon Flakes" and wondering if you would venture out into what promises to be quite a day.    So let  "US" out here in the warmth and safety of our homes and computer screens know how you "flakes" are.   So we are thinking of you too...

So far just two days of solid rain for us...but the temperature is supposed to drop...so we'll see what happens then!  I did a run in the pouring rain at 39 degrees tonight...I've spent all evening with hot drinks trying to warm my thoroughly rain-soaked chilled body!

Well, here in Ulster County, NY there seems to be bands of snowmaggedon and icepocalypse...a lot of staff have called out due to the weather.  Funny thing is the staff who made it in have all said the roads aren't that bad-myself included (although I did stay over nearby last night).  So I'm waiting to see the news reports where these pockets of 3 feet of snow and 6 inches of ice happened, cause no one I've spoken to this morning has seen it.  Amazing how when we offer to come pick them up it's suddenly some other excuse.  It's health care, people.  You knew you needed to plan for bad weather when you got into the business.

I hear you about the excuses, Ei. All schools are closed here even though all roads are open. So unless the vast majority of students in a district walk to school, there is no reason the schools should be closed. Little Suzie and little Johnny are perfectly capable of walking to the end of the driveway and hopping on the bus.
