I did not record the photographer in this particular folder.
Hmmm...guess flickr has hiccups again...

Our 3rd falcon...is a female! Her name is Quest. She was named by Mrs. Pilson's
class at the Hilton Quest Elementary School in Hilton, NY.

Quest's color band is black/green 96/V. She has blue tape over her
USFWS band.

Friday May30th at 10:33am: Posted by Ei on KFC. We had fun that day Ei.

When Quest was on her travels, it brought out some very original dittys.

Can you guess who wrote this one?

The Gannet was down on its luck; it
Decided to chill at Nantucket;
Quest did more than duck it;
She stooped down and struck it;
Then flew to her lighthouse to pluck it

And then there was the day she fledged! I left for a bit and when I returned, she was on a building diagonally across from Kodak (she had averted a near rescue when she was near the ground on the side of Kodak).  She kept pacing.  Then she took off near the gorge and as we walked in that direction, we came across Susan B- walking on a parking lot.  That was a rescue!  what a day!

We'll hear something in due time.  CPF has relatively few people for an enormous geographic area with a lot of nests.  Reporting sometimes takes a back burner to getting things accomplished.

Thanks for those calming and supportive words Dumpster Kitty. I assure everyone,as a voice for CPF,that we are on top of things. A full report will be posted soon. Volunteers and staff of CPF have been on scene and are even now,on this Good Friday. Bruce was on scene I suspect pre-sunrise. With things as they are CPF wants to give a full,accurate account of things,not wishing to leave room for speculation,nor misunderstandings. The world is watching,we want to give everyone the correct information and do all we can to do whats in the best interest of all parties involved,most especially Quest and Kendal. We do realize people around the world are waiting for news and are sensitive to those needs. An excited utterance or misplaced words will not only ill inform but could start a firestorm that does damage,so please hang in and know that things are being monitored and done in a timely,safe manner.
