Is Quest really the first transmitter fitted falcon to reproduce?

Here's what I know: Miss Edmonton was the first falcon fitted with a transmitter to reproduce out West.  Her transmitter was removed last year as they found it may be interfering with her migration and causing her to return home later than usual in previous years.  There is also a project that started in 2007 on Artic Peregrine falcons that migrated to Chile each year and several of them were banded and one of the most famous and successful in producing offspring is called Island Girl.

These projects all seem to operate in silos so it's really hard to say 'who was truly first' in North America, I like to research things when I'm interested in finding something out and that's the only reason I know of these two other projects.  There are many other transmitter fitted faclon projects that have been done over the years but I'd have to delve deeper to find out if there is records of them producing offsping.  As far as I know Quest is the first in Eastern Canada but I don't know everything so take that with a grain of salt  lol

She's just adorable.  Too bad we couldn't give her a brother or sister to keep her company.

pfalcon  maybe we can send our Jersey City guy, Legs, who is still being reviewed for release in West Virginia.  But then again, maybe not if he won't be able to fly well.

Wouldn't it be something if Legs and Harlequin got together down the road?  Now that's a picture.

That's adorable! She looks so completely listless: like she just had a deep tissue massage.  lol

Kat, can you hear Harlequin kakking up on the ledge? Is she a noisy one? She doesn't seem to be whining too much from what I can see on cam.

Wow! Look at that wing on Harlie!  What is her expected fledge date?     Numbers elude me.

General rule of thumb is around 40 days for females...so 12 or so days...Sunshine fledged at 43 days...haven't done the math for the others...

Quest flew to nest, Harlie out of view. Suddenly, here comes Harlie. Hopped up on nest and went to greet mom, apparently hoping for a meal. They snuggled for a minute and gave kisses to each other. I love the mornings there. heart
