Maybe he needed some peace and quiet before mating season Wink

Howdy! Hasn't been a lot of action to report, but I just had a close-up falcon fly-by. Pretty big, so assume it's Quest. Currently perched on the building just east of the nest building. That's all I can tell you for now. Cheers!

Thanks, Kat!  Wonder what's happened to Kendal now? Hopefully migrated and will return in March.

Thanks Kat, Quest being around is a good thing, probably protecting her nest. Kendal on the other hand, well, he's on a little Holiday, I hope. As long as he comes back soon, I'm good with that!  pray

Re: Kendal, I thought I saw him on Friday, but sort of hard to tell when they're flying by and we don't have both to compare. Looked like a smaller bird with a white breast, though. ??

Quest's doing a bit of swooping and diving this morning! I've just had three fly-bys in about two minutes!

Canadian Peregrine Foundation In winter, the rossting habits of peregrine prey changes as they seek out warmer spots out of the wind and congregate where people feed them. Peregrines will alter their habits as well and so oftentimes are not at the nest site itself but still in the area. Kendal tends to hunt north of the nest building and to the east as well. It will be late February to early March before the wild peregrines start to hang out closer to home.
