Other NYC red-tail nests
«

While Pale Male may be the most famous NYC red-tail there are MANY nests being followed in the Big Apple.
One that I've been following is nestled on the shoulders of St. Andrew at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. It's particularly difficult to see the eyases until they're quite big. For several weeks the watchers have known there were 2 babies. Yesterday a 3rd fuzzy head appeared!

They are beautiful. Do they get into as much trouble as falcons on first flights?

They have been known to. One of Pale Male Jr.'s wound up in an area between buildings & couldn't take off.
