On my way shopping this am:

Multitudes of Starlings eating in the grass, too many to count.
2 very huge Crows in the middle of the road eating something not nice!
4 Hawks hovering over BJ's
Home
1 Blue Jay picking at kibble on my porch, (cat watching).
4 Grackles on my back lawn
that's it so far.  clap

Mostly rainy, and I didn't get out for a walk in the woods, so I only saw my backyard birds:
Ruby-throated Hummingbird  (they should only be here for another couple of weeks)
Turkey Vulture
American Crow
House Sparrow
American Robin
Northern Cardinal
Rock Pigeon

Jeeez, Carol P! Make us all feel bad, why don't you?! You could at least have put the list in taxonomic order while you were at it...

Yesterday all I saw was lots of rain and fog. Heard lots of rain, too! Today I
have heard a couple of really angry blue jays several times, and this morning I
heard a cardinal. A drive to the beach would yield lots of seagulls and Canada
Geese. They're always there. I'm just not motivated to go see them! And I'm
sure a hummingbird has been at the feeder but I haven't been hanging out in the
kitchen to see him. A partly white one was hanging around a couple of weeks ago
but has moved on. Guess she was just passing through.

I heard a cardinal.

This morning so far I've only heard a woodpecker-no clue what kind

This was a nice idea.  Most of these guys were in the bird baths:  happy

mourning doves
tufted titmouse
starlings - way too many all over the place
blue jays
chickadees
red-tail hawk - high overhead with sun hitting his red tail beautifully
robins
grey catbirds
crows - in the trees
tree swallows - large flock flying, probably headed to the coast for migration

You know, that made me realize I haven't heard any chickadees this weekend.  They must be on their way to wherever they go for the winter...

I guess they don't go all that far then!
