The young male will learn to do what he needs to do. Great news that the young ones are doing well.

First flight
Published 16 November, 2016 | By Cilla Kinross
I just got in ……One is off, I’m guessing Rubi.
Not a very elegant departure, so I’ll go and have a look around shortly. Not very elegant photos, either, such mucky pups!
And later:
At the time of writing, still two in the tower and one in the bushes. And thanks to Denis and Tiffany for helping me locate the wayward Rubi.

Thanks, Patsy! I just got the site to load for a minute, and it looks to me as if a second chick has fledged. I can only see one in the nest.

Confirming Alison's observation:
No. 2 male Vim departs
Published 17 November, 2016 | By Cilla Kinross
Here is Vim’s much better departure. I can see roughly in which direction he headed, but of course, not how far he has travelled, but I’ll go and have a look for both of the them and report back.
Vim spotted
Published 17 November, 2016 | By Cilla Kinross
A colleague saw Vim on the hand-rail and watched him fly to a bush not far from my office, so his first flight was much shorter than I anticipated, but he’s fine.

I believe that Mell, the last chick in the nest box, has now fledged. Each time I checked yesterday, she was still in the nest.
But when I went to check the site today, the cams are down. All I get is a "service disruption, down for essential maintenance" message. As of a few minutes ago, that message is still there.
If Photobucket ever comes back up, I'll try to post some photos I had saved over the past few days. Too many sites going down lately.

Thank you, Donna! I have saved the URL and will check into it further. TinyPic is owned by Photobucket, which of course is still down.

The cameras are back online.
Diamond this morning:
Just checked the site again, and there is a juvie in the nest, with a full crop (poor Galah).

Apparently it was Vim who returned home to the nestbox for a feed yesterday. He stayed for a while, too. Meanwhile, there are some great pictures of the newly fledged juvies at
http://falconcamproject.org/.
They haven't spotted Rubi in several days, but Cilla is confident that mom Diamond knows where she is, and that she'll turn up soon.
