Ouchie!!! MAK, sorry to hear this was more involved and more painful. Hang in there and soon, you will be out there chasing the falcons, owls and hawks!

Just remember MAK, it is always the roughest right afterwards. So concentrate on how good it will feel when things heal and you are REALLY UP AND ABOUT!!! Plus you have no more knees to dread having done!!
By the time the rest of us face that stuff you will be OUR cheerleading section!! With expert advice!
Hoping for a GOOD day today for you!

What a difference a day makes! Day 2 after surgery has been a whole lot better than yesterday. Less pain and I'm moving better. I even did 3 stairs today. My therapists think I'm doing well enough to go home from the hospital. They're afraid that if I go to rehab the insurance company won't pay for it and I'll get stuck with a huge bill. I can't afford to take that chance so either tomorrow or Friday I will be heading home. Thanks for all your love and encouragement.

From Facebook:
"Hi all! An update on my recovery. My therapists think I'm doing well enough to go home from the hospital. They're afraid that if I go to rehab the insurance company won't pay for it and I'll get stuck with a huge bill. I can't afford to take that chance so either tomorrow or Friday I will be heading home."
I think this shows that MAK is a pro (she just did all of the "stuff"). Home is always better for healing AND if she doesn't behave
, it is easier for her friends to "help" her!
Great news, MAK! Let's get that healing started!

Great news, MAK! Will you still get in-home PT like before?

As far as I know Kris! I imagine they'll set me up with that tomorrow.

That's good news, Mak.
Especially if you get PT at home.
Your better off out of the hospital as soon as possible.

At least being at home you won't be exposed to all the sick people that are in the hospital too. No way do you need to catch "something" else to deal with too! Go home, get stronger and better fast! I am sure by the spring you will be running circles around everyone there!

Thanks for all the support to my falcon family! I have been cleared for going home this afternoon some time. My newest knee is bending at 76 degrees and straightening to within a couple degrees of perfect. I'm still having some bleeding from where one of the staples came loose and I'm a bit anemic like last time but no other complications so far.

Good news, MAK! I know from before that you work hard on your exercises and, with in-house PT, you should do well. Hopefully the crutches will be easier on you than the walker was.
