Is on the bright egg a spot or a pip?

Looks like a pip to me?  Unless the light is playing tricks on us..awfully bright in there atm!  Could be the sun bleaching out the egg and making the spots look like a hole.

Catching some rays

I don't see any cracks in the egg. However, I do see lots of detail in Beauty's feathers and in the eyas' downy fluff. (Or is that fluffy down?)

I think it may be a stray feather sticking out of Beauty.  wub2

Question:  Do you remember last year when A and B's eggs that did not hatch, just sort of disintegrated?  Looking on cam, it appeared they softened and became mushy.   My question is, Unity's egg was laid somewhere around the end of March or very early April, and yet it appears to be still intact.  This egg is almost three months old!   Any ideas why it has held up?
