I remember in Toronto, they got a report of a hissing pigeon that was in a moving van (I think near city hall).  Sure enough, it was a peregrine.  I think our friend Linda Woods rescued the peregrine!

A good story. Lets see..we've had them...down old smokestack/chimney,in AC units on a hotel and also at Skydome, atop a tour bus that wanted to head to Niagara Falls, atop a downtown streetcar that took off along King St and ohh ummm sundry balconies. Never a dull moment at fledge watches!

The tour bus was definitely one of Rhea Mae's-it was Lily in 2008...I remember we joked she wanted to get to Rochester to visit Grandma & Grandpa hysterical

No, it was ViKing, one of the five orphans hacked from Richmond Hill in 2002 after Pounce-Kingsley and Victoria died.

I don't recall the details, but Pounce-Kingsley died first then Victoria a while later.  It was the subject of the movie we saw fledge watch weekend 2010-Return of the Peregrine I think...

Kingsly died first, later Victoria was found dead on a rooftop. She gave it her all trying to feed her 5 chicks. She just couldnt do it alone. The 5 chicks were removed from the nest and taken to CPF Raptor Centre where Tracy helped nurse them back to health before the chicks were transfered to be hacked out in Richmondhill Ontario. All 5 made it to fledge. 2 that Im aware of went on to nest successfully, one remains nesting today.

Those of us following the Rochester falcons in 2002 were aware of it.

That's a very sad story BF. Glad Tracy helped them survive! GO CPF!!
