Sorry for your loss Donna. And don't get me started on people who let their cats and dogs breed because the kittens/puppies are "so cute". Nothing cute about homeless, hungry, unvaccinated critters roaming the neighborhood.
I totally agree!
Me too, I agree and thanks Paul. I don't ask for these cats, they find me. If they stay long enough, I have them neutered or spayed. Cali was on Feral Stat, a birth control I give her once a week. Her brother Freddie would have been trapped, neutered and released back at my house. The shelters are so over populated right now with so many Dogs, Cats, puppies and kittens. Nobody else around here cares.

Have you been able to get Feral Stat this year? I had my outside guys on it LAST year, but both phone #s and the website for them were down this year, and I have been unable to locate them. Do you have current contact info?
Thanks so much!

AW Donna I am just reading about Cali! She was beautiful! I am so sorry for you loosing her! She was very lucky to have found her way to you. I too dislike these people who just let the pets outside to breed and then let them run wild. Not good for anyone! That is how we were adopted by our 3 legged cat Mow, years ago. gave her a good life til her end. Miss her still. You have a good heart. Hugs from here.

I wish I could give an inside home to all of them. Thank you for making their outside life as good as it can be.

I try Annie. Been doing it for years. They seem to find their way to my yard. Thank you.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of the beautiful Cali. I was a cat breeder for many years, and none of my babies went outside -- bred to be too trusting of humans.
But I believe there is a place for outside cats, as rodent control officers. Society would be worse off without them. I would be overrun with chipmunks if it were not for Ginger from next door, and though her life may be cut short at any time, she is a useful, working cat.
So keep on feeding your ferals, and if you can, practice TNR.

Hi Mary, glad to see you on! Thank you for the kind words and yes------cats are good at rodent patrol. I have not seen a mouse, chipmunk, (I don't think we have them here anyway) or rat since the cats came into my life over 12 years ago. If they can trap them, they get S/N and bring them back. I can't help if they wander off one day never to be seen again, especially the males. Females usually stay around when they are spayed. Hope your well.
