July 9th Toronto Sheraton
The little fliedgling has been banded and officially named " Singleton". He was returned to the Sheraton ledge midday on Saturday. What a cutie, handsome little guy. Just before the release Rhea Mae and Tiago were on the ledge, which I was hoping. Singleton took a little time on the "playpen" flapping and stretching his wings, before relaxing the remainder of the day. Food was delivered around 7pm. Rhea Mae and Tiago kept out of view of Singleton for most of the day and evening. Singleton will spend the night at home. Hopefully he'll try for successful flight tomorrow.

He was in the nest tray briefly yesterday before heading way down to the far end of the ledge, where he stayed for most of the day.

Singleton is safe.  He is on the roof top of a building at Bay and Richmond as per last chat with Bruce about 20 minutes ago.

Singleton appears to be doing well, staying high and making flights to adjacent roof tops. This evening however he disapeared out of my view around 8pm. I don't think he is low as Rhea Mae and Tiago don't appear to be too concerned. They must know where he is. Just have to wait for daylight for Singleton to make another appearance.

Singleton, has not been seen for a day

July 12, 2016 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre

Linda Woods Reports:

Singleton, the single hatch of Rhea Mae and Tiago, has not been positively seen for a day now.  Yesterday he was doing well, staying high with both Rhea Mae and Tiago in attendance. Evening of  July 11th, he was last seen high on a near by roof top and disappeared out of view.

Rhea Mae and Tiago, aren’t showing any indication that they don’t know where he is and are staying close to the Sheraton. He’s out there somewhere. Just have to wait till he pops his head up.

We’ll continue to watch for him.

I hope he will turn up safe tomorrow morning. Can't help worrying about the little guy out there.

Heat alert going on in the city so no doubt he's laying low in the shade somewhere - that's what I'm telling myself anyway, I worry too.  Today expected to hit 42C and no cooling off until Friday.
