wave  Good morning everyone! I forgot my phone this morning for my watch so I'm a little late with a report. Last night I got a phone call from Joyce saying she didn't see Beauty up on Xerox well after darkness had fallen on our fair city. I thought it odd and so was very anxious for morning to arrive so I could find our Mercury matriarch. Upon arriving at Washington Square park just before daylight I saw no Beauty. I was nervous thinking something had happened to her.
I checked out all her favorite spots with no success. I spent my entire watch searching and searching for her. It was almost time to go home when I decided to check the east side one more time. I drove behind HSBC and checked both corners...nothing! I started to pull out and head home when I looked at the corner of that building she was on the other day and there she was in full hunting mode. I watched for about a minute as there were pigeons flying all over the place. It was late and I had to go but as I was driving down Broad St. I saw her stoop off that building behind Midtown. Traffic was backed up at Clinton Ave. and so I contorted myself to look out my passenger side window to see Beauty lumbering across the sky with a pigeon in her talons! I'd say I was one lucky falcon watcher this morning! Woohoo! Have a great day everybody! heart heart heart heart

Hi everyone!  Purely by accident, I spotted Beauty yesterday around 4:45 pm flying across Exchange Blvd and landing on Mercury's outstretched hand.  It's the first time I've seen her in many months since I work in High Falls and don't get many chances to walk up to the 4 corners area.  So after being extremely aggravated that they had closed the Court St. bridge, necessitating turning around and heading back towards Broad Street, my aggravation turned to joy when I spotted Beauty!  I hope to talk a stroll on the pedestrian bridge today at noontime, and hope I see some watchers  wave

Mak - I'm trying to figure out what building you are referring to. See Pic from Google Maps. The angle distorts the size in relation to Midtown, but is this the one you are talking about?

Do we know if Beauty was 1 of the 2? Did they just pass through?

Hey Donna - I have no idea if one of them was Beauty or not.  Too high to try to ID.  My first thought was at least one was a juvie.  This may have been the two that have been seen gracing Rochester's skyline the last week or so.  They were definitely having fun, riding the winds high above Xerox.  Both floated off to the north.  On my way home, I tried to find them but couldn't.
