Rhea Mae Update

Rhea Mae with 3 Eggs

Rhea Mae, daughter of Mariah and Kaver from 2006, has now laid a total of 3 eggs at her nest site on the Sheraton hotel in downtown Toronto, Ontario Canada. Her third came over the weekend. For more information about Rhea Mae and Tiago, visit the Canadian Peregrine Foundation’s webpage.

Egg #4 for Rhea Mae and Tiago

UPDATE! (April 8)- Rhea Mae has laid her fourth egg! We received word just this morning from some of our fans who keep an eye on her nest. This is excellent news to be sure. We’re looking forward to following Rhea Mae and her mate Tiago as they raise their first family together this year.

Considering Rhea Mae’s young age, do you believe the eggs be viable? If so, that would be fantastic!

Rhea Mae was my favorite that year and I’m so happy to see her thriving. I’m so proud of her. I hope she knows she has her work cut out for her! I think they can handle it.

    Thanks for the update.

Rhea Mae was my favorite that year as well. It is really great to see her doing so well. I am glad we can get updates about her. If she is anything like her parents she will do well. I hope all the eggs are good and hatch. Congrats Rhea Mae and Tiago.

Amy – Rhea Mae is definitely old enough, at two years, to lay viable eggs. It should be lots of fun watching her raise her first young eyases.

Is there posted, anywhere, a family tree of the descendants of Mariah? Rhea Mae is a daughter from a couple of years ago, and I know Mariah once had another mate, although that was before I began watching online.

Denise, click on history on the home page to find the family tree. Impressive !

  10. Denise Says:

Thanks joan. I read what history had to say about the first mate. Too bad he never came back.

But they didn’t have a family tree, and I do remember seeing one a couple of years ago on the former website.

  11. joan Says:

Denise , there is a family tree. Go back to the first page, click history on left side of screen, then open family tree.

I’ve been away for awhile. It’s nice to see the webcam back up. Thanks for doing this for us.
