What’s In a Name? New Guy Has a Name! 6/19/25

It’s time that our new tiercel has a proper name. He has been doing such an awesome job helping Nova raise Zephyrus, Anders and Denali. No more New Guy!

The Rochester Falcon Watchers submitted names and voted for their favorite. There were so many awesome names to choose from. But, we decided that New Guy would now be called Corazon!

Corazon was submitted by Watcher Dana Mulhern.

“I would love to name him Corazon, which is Spanish for heart. Because of all the love he has shown to Nova and Neander’s boys, and also because of the hearts on his cheeks. ♥️

We will never forget Neander with his white Feather. He will forever be in our heart. Miss you Neander!

But life for our Rochester Peregrine Family must move on and Corazon will hopefully be a part of that for many years to come as Nova’s mate.

Welcome Corazon!!!

What a perfect name for a guy who really stepped up to Love, Feed, and Protect. Too bad we will never know where he came from.

Hello everyone, it’s my first pay a visit at this website, and
article is actually fruitful in favor of me, keep up posting these
    types of posts.

I sure was nervous when he came on the scene at such a critical time as I’ve seen outcomes that were devastating when a new male takes over right before hatching. Credit to Nova for creating boundaries and letting him know what was acceptable and what was not, with respect to her babies.

I’m so happy and relieved that he turned out to be such a great step-dad and his new name suits him perfectly.

It always gives me a bit of a start when I read about Corazon’s activities in Discus because it is generally a female name culturally, like Corazon Aquino of the Philippines.
