You know, that may be the case, but I am happy that I'm going to be out of town for a few days and will miss the morphing of these two - they are even more scruffy this afternoon. The cameras are so good that we can see them changing by the hour sometimes, but they are really funky right now.

You are so right! Yesterday it seemed they were changeding by the minute. Their white down was disappearing as I watched, and the dark feathers were coming in by the minute. It is amazing to watch. They are in that "ugly duckling" stage, but still sooo cute. I love their closeups.

this
scruffy phase...the one that bothers me is the baby dinosaur phase between natal and second down...I always feel badly for them then.
