You know, this seems like it must be great for them - look at all the control they can develop, jumping, hopping up and down and back and forth, short flights - before a real fledge! They're relaly using it, too! It's ALL a playpen for them!

Did anyone just see what was going on in the nest box? Callidora either had something or some remnant was stuck on her foot? She was flapping and now she is pretty agitated. It wasn't clear to me what was going on. Did someone else see?

After her morning adventures, Jemison has reverted to full pancake mode:  It's amazing, at this age, how quickly they can turn from falcon to amorphous blob. The splayed out leg and foot is a particularly nice touch. Paul He is so cute,or is it she ? |
