Say it IS a duckling... I did not know that falcons took prey other than on the wing. I would be interested to know if they take prey from the ground.

They generally don't take prey from the ground. But they have been known to go down to the river for a bath occasionally. And they will retrieve prey that fell to the ground. Archer did bring a duckling once. Probably just right place & time.
